Project Highlight - GRIT Veyron Learning Lab

The Client

Located in Edmonton, Alberta, GRIT is an early child inclusion-support program that provides families with resources to assist children with developmental disabilities. They offer a wide range of specialized services including enhanced speech and language support, occupational or physical therapy, and behaviour consultations, and have helped hundreds of children become meaningful participants in their families, communities, and schools.

“I would definitely recommend Evolution AV to anyone interested in bringing a room like this together. They are great to work with, friendly, helpful, responsive, and knowledgeable."

The Technology

GRIT required state-of-the-art technology and an interactive workspace, one that could offer "a dynamic, flexible environment where facilitators have access to the tools and technology to create quality learning experiences”. To fulfil their request, we integrated various AV components throughout the facility's Veyron Learning Lab, including video conferencing equipment and interactive displays. 86" LOFT D2 displays were installed to meet GRIT'S interactive requirements, and a LOFT C400 PTZ HD Conference Camera was added to provide high-quality video conferencing capabilities. To ensure a crystal clear audio experience every time, we installed ceiling speakers and microphones by our partners Atlas and Shure.

AV Brings Us Together

The Veyron Learning Lab is a prime example of how AV technology improves learning and collaborative environments. Aiding educators in their lessons, enhancing engagement through interactivity and streamlining remote and hybrid teaching are just a few ways AV makes a difference. The technology needs to be straightforward and easy to use, and when dealing with individuals who require additional support, AV must always help, never hinder an educator. GRIT is an incredible program, and we are honoured to have been a part of creating such a meaningful and functional space.
