Tech Tuesday - Logitech TAP Meeting Room Controller

Logitech devices can be found in nearly every modern home, office, or entertainment space. From small devices like keyboards, mice, webcams, etc. to large-scale AV technology like conferencing technology, software and more!

On today’s Tech Tuesday, we take a dive into the Logitech Tap meeting room controller—a device that creates a seamless, modern experience for your integrated meeting room technology, placing control of the entire system right at your fingertips.

Tap To Start

Upon initially installing the Tap controller, you’ll notice it has an incredibly modern presence in the room. The 10.1” touchscreen display and a slick-looking design bring a tech-savvy air to the room without being obtrusive, and really add to the look of contemporary office design.

From an AV integrator perspective, the installation for the Tap is really quite simple. There is a power cable, a USB cable that is discreetly routed through the room by us to the main PC or room module that connects it to the displays/cameras and more throughout the room. There is also the option of adding an HDMI cable to support BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) rooms. Otherwise, content sharing is available wirelessly.

No-Hassle Integration

One of the advantages of the Tap is the diversity it has. This control panel is compatible with a wide variety of conferencing software platforms. Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, GoTo, and many more. So whatever system your organization has become accustomed to for video collaboration, the Tap can be integrated with.

Use Cases

Generally the use case for Logitech Tap would be in a meeting room, boardroom, or education space that requires video conferencing. This means it can be perfect for hybrid education, high level office meeting rooms, or small breakout rooms in the workplace. The diverse mounting features of the Tap also allow it to be placed wherever is necessary in the room (on the wall, on the table) to create a seamless environment.

Of course, control systems need devices to send commands to. That’s why Logitech allowed us to play with a few more of their incredible products. Check back in our next Tech Tuesday episodes to see which goodies they sent us!
