Tech Tuesday - TS920 Infrared Wireless Conferencing System by TOA

TOA’s TS920 Infrared Wireless Conferencing System is a perfect example of why TOA is a household name. A sleek, pyramid-inspired conferencing system that can really elevate the quality and professionalism of a boardroom.  

The TS920 installs much like other conferencing systems. There is a base unit installed by us, the AV integrator, and then there are multiple microphones and speaker units that are spread throughout the boardroom.  

 How it Works

The TS920 installs much like other conferencing systems. There is a base unit installed by us, the AV integrator, an infrared reception device placed strategically inside the room, and then there are multiple microphones and speaker units that are spread throughout the space as needed.  

The microphones send an infrared signal to an IR Receiver, which in turn relays the signal through to the base unit, and out towards any speakers, conferencing devices, or recording devices depending on the purpose of the meeting.

The benefits of using an infrared transmission system are increased security, transmission strength and reliability. IR signals cannot be tapped by any outside sources, so the user knows they are getting the privacy they need for their business meetings.

Ideal Use Case

The TS920 system can handle quite literally, any of your conferencing needs. You can connect up to 192 units to this device. No, that wasn’t a typo, 192. That doesn’t mean the system is only for large scale. The functionality and ease of use stay relevant even when only a small number of units are being used.
