Tech Tuesday - Yealink MeetingBar A20

Today we’ll be looking at the Yealink MeetingBar A20. Designed with simplicity in mind, the A20 combines the video, audio and microphone aspects of a meeting room integration, all into one easy-to-use package.
Simple Setup, High-End Results
One of the standout upsides to the A20 is how simple it is to set up. There are 3 cables: HDMI, Power, and Network. Plug those three in, place the A20 wherever you want it to sit, and you’re done! There’s no additional hardware or PCs needed to make it work—everything you need is right inside the unit from the factory.
Despite it’s simple interface and design, there’s still plenty of advanced technology onboard. The technical specifications of the A20 are quite impressive. With its 20-megapixel camera, wide angle lens, and AI-based noise reduction, the video communication created by the A20 is crystal clear and sounds excellent.
AI-Powered Meetings
The A20 is filled with AI-powered support features that help elevate the experience to a professional level. One of the features we tested was the Auto Framing, which automatically sets the image so that everyone is in view, as well as speaker tracking! Which automatically zooms in on the speaker and places them in the center frame in real-time. The device picks up if anyone new has entered the room, and reframes the camera so that they, as well as all other participants in the room, are visible and framed well.
Use Cases
The MeetingBar A20 is primarily a Microsoft Teams-based system. So the ideal use case would be organizations that already are running a Microsoft platform, who want to add a flair of professionalism to their collaboration space and video conferencing rooms. The microphones inside the A20 can pick up sound very clear for up to 6 metres, and when we tested this in our Evolution AV boardroom, we found the pickup range was actually further than that, without a large drop in quality. Ideally, the A20 would work perfectly for small to medium-sized boardrooms.
