Tech Tuesday - Yealink UVC 86 Intelligent Tracking Camera

We’re back with a brand new product from our friends at Yealink! Designed for medium to large spaces, the UVC86 features several methods of tracking to perfectly frame a boardroom all the time during meetings.

Professional Grade Video Experience

One of the things that sets the UVC86 apart from Yealink’s other offerings is the camera and optics quality. The UVC86 boasts a 4K camera with a 90 degree field of view, perfect for framing the entire room or table. For presenting, a 12x optical zoom allows the camera to adjust how closely a presenter is framed—which helps a lot when dealing with multiple speakers around a room.

Framing and Tracking

The UVC has multiple modes and methods of framing and tracking, depending on the situation. The Auto Framing mode uses a second 4K camera to see the number and position of attendees in the room. If participants leave or join, the camera automatically adjusts the framing of the main camera.

The UVC86 also features Speaker and Presenter Tracking. Using a six microphone array and the secondary 4K camera, the UVC86 can detect who is speaking or presenting, making it easy to keep participants on the other side of the video call engaged.

Flexible Installation and Integration

Although it can be used by itself, the UVC is designed to work in harmony with other hardware in larger meeting rooms. To help with this, Yealink has made brackets with a variety of mounting options for the UVC86—anything from wall mount, to the top of a TV, to use on a tripod!
