Tech Tuesday: LG One:Quick Works Video Conferencing Display

Welcome back to Tech Tuesday! This week, we’re looking at a product that combines a stunning display with easy video conferencing: the LG One:Quick Works Video Conferencing Display!

The One:Quick Works is designed to be the ideal centerpiece of small to medium boardrooms, starting with the display. Inside the sleek brushed silver housing is a brilliant 55-inch 4K display. Featuring IPS technology, the display has fantastic 178 degree viewing angles for great visibility in small meeting rooms. Along with its great contrast and viewing angles, the One:Quick Works also features a touch interface that can handle 10 points of touch simultaneously. This, combined with the wide variety of conferencing apps supported by the One:Quick Works, makes it a powerful tool for productivity in shared spaces.

Hidden behind the bezel, the top of the display contains a wide angle 4K camera with a 120-degree wide angle lens. However, if you’d like closer focus on a speaker, the camera also features an ePTZ system, which lets the camera zoom in to wherever its microphone array detects someone speaking.

The microphone array has been neatly integrated into the bezel of the display, maintaining its sleek appearance. With its 6 beamforming microphones, the One:Quick Works can pick up voices from up to 6 meters away. These can also be used for recording in-person meetings, and the audio files can be shared by email after recording.

For video conferencing, LG understands that an all-in-one conferencing display needs to be able to use, well, everything. That’s why the One:Quick Works features a built-in PC running Windows 10 IoT. This allows the One:Quick to use nearly any conferencing or collaboration application, and LG’s custom UI ensures that these apps can be easily accessed from the home screen.

Because the One:Quick Works has all of its functionality built into the display’s housing, it is easy to use it as a mobile video conferencing unit. LG’s optional 2 Pole Stand allows the display to be placed on any tables or desks, and the VESA mount compatibility opens up a whole world of mounting options for carts and other mobile stands.

While the One:Quick Works is great for huddle rooms and small boardrooms, larger spaces require more specialized solutions, often with separate dedicated audio and video systems.
